About
Welcome! My name is Takuma Kamada (written as 鎌田拓馬 in Japanese). I am an associate professor at Osaka University, Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) in Japan.
My research seeks to understand the causes and consequences of crime and its enforcement. In particular, I study (i) how both criminal and non-criminal justice policies affect crime and (ii) how drug epidemics shape cities and neighborhoods, with a particular emphasis on illegal markets in different ethno-racial contexts.
